CPCM is a Level 3 qualification, designed by industry experts to ensure that students can confidently apply their knowledge in real-world payments and cash management roles.

    The qualification covers:

    • The structure and infrastructure of the global payments industry
    • Payment systems, channels, connectivity, and treasury management
    • Liquidity management across banking and corporate sectors
    • Payment regulations, compliance, and operational risk
    • Financial reporting, liquidity management, and financial tools
    • The role of technology, data, and security in driving innovation and efficiency within payments and cash management

CPCM is the new name for the Certificate in Principles of Payments (CertPAY). The same established certification now has a name that reflects its full scope, from payments to liquidity and cash management, with online exams you can take at any time under remote invigilation.

How many exams are there and what is the pass mark?

There are two online multiple-choice exams, one for each unit. The pass mark is 70% in each. They are taken with remote invigilation and you do not need to book a date in advance.

    How long does CPCM take?

Plan for about 200 hours of study, at your own pace.

Do I need payments experience first?

No. There are no specific entry requirements and no prior payments knowledge is needed.

Is CPCM the same as CertPAY?

CPCM is the renamed CertPAY. The new name reflects the wider scope, including liquidity and cash management, and exams are now taken online at any time with remote invigilation. If you were looking for CertPAY, this is the qualification. Read the full guide to CPCM.
