Each exam is marked out of 50 and you need 70% in each unit to pass, which is 35 marks. You take both exams from home with remote invigilation and you do not need to book in advance.

How is the CDCS exam taken?
You take each exam on the Brightspace platform with remote invigilation, at any time that suits you. There is no need to book in advance. Before you start, you scan your testing space with your laptop or webcam, so make sure your equipment is in full working order and easy to move.
How is CDCS graded and what is the pass mark?
The pass mark is 70% in each unit. The qualification is awarded as a Pass (70 to 94%) or a Distinction (95 to 100%). After your exam you receive an analysis sheet with feedback.
What happens if I do not pass a unit?
You resit only the unit you did not pass. Resits are arranged by the awarding body in London, and LIBF India helps you with the process. You can make up to three attempts a week and ten in any 12-month period for a unit. Your registration is valid for 12 months, so plan your attempts within that period. See CDCS fees in India for what the fee includes and the resit fees.
How long should I study for CDCS?
The qualification is designed around about 300 hours of study time, mostly self-directed. Our guide on how to pass the CDCS exam gives a practical study plan.
