About the speaker
Gary Argent – Faculty Member, LIBF MENA
Gary has worked in the graduate recruitment and development industry for more than 20 years. During that time, he managed the graduate recruitment programme for a large multinational technology firm where he also ran graduate induction and was part of the training team that delivered the graduate development programme. He spent three years as Business Operations Manager for the Association of Graduate Recruiters (formerly the AGR, now the ISE, the Institute of Student Employers), the trade association for the early talent industry in the UK, taking responsibility for the AGR Standard, a set of training courses which were delivered to early career professionals in the industry.
In 2011 Gary became Director of Careers at City, University of London, leading a team which delivered a range of activities to help graduates prepare for their career. Most recently, Gary has worked as a freelance consultant in the graduate industry since 2015, helping employers to develop their graduate recruitment strategies and working with universities to design and deliver training interventions to help their students prepare to make a successful start in the workplace.
